Bill Caillier opened University Place Radiator Service in 1979, renting a space in what was once a lumberyard. Bill's experience as an accomplished Metal worker helped him build a successful niche business over the first few years. As his reputation grew, people began to bring in their cars for general repair. He added mufflers and brake repair to the radiator business in the late 80s and the business continued to grow. Over the years, he and his wife Joyce added employees, opened a successful marine manifolds business, and continued to build upon their reputation as a quality auto repair facility with a hometown feel. They demonstrated consistently a real passion to take care of their customers.
In September 2015 Bill decided he wanted to retire. His cousin, Greg owns a successful motorcycle shop right next door and Bill approached him about possibly taking over the car shop. Bill was very concerned about keeping his Legacy alive and wanted assurance that his tradition of hard work in the community continued on, despite his retirement. Greg holds the same values and ethics and thus agreed to take over the shop.
University Place Radiator Auto Service is now staffed by Ryan Kentfield who is Bill's cousin on the Christiansen side as well as Greg and Charlotte Taylor who are also Bill's cousins. The family's commitment to quality customer care and dedication to community will continue, as will Bill and Joyce's powerful legacy. It is our honor to continue to serve you and your family's automotive needs.
